First of all, is everyone who works at this place ridiculously good looking? Our waiter was super handsome. Better than that, he was on it. Never had an empty glass. He made great recommendations. Checked in on us without being obtrusive.
I ordered a bowl that potatoes and sausage. I don't remember all of the ingredients, but I do remember that every single bite was fantastic. We also ordered some breakfast balls. (Insert joke here) Salty in the right way. They kinda reminded me of a combo between papa rellena and hush puppies.
Everyone in the place was mellow. Music was nice, not too loud.
The best part was the room that had pinball. Some great tables back there!
We can't wait to go back! We went on Sunday, midday. I can imagine that parking could get a little tricky, at night. -

Went with six people for lunch.

We were in a bit of a hurry as we had a plane to catch. We ordered burgers - I had the jackpot and enjoyed it, but could not finish it. It had an egg, avocado spread, tomato, lettuce and bacon. The Rodeo burger ordered by a friend was also good. The fries were solid. They have a good selection of beers and ciders. Parking was a little tough, but we found a spot after a few minutes.
We made our plane. -

Wife and I have been here 2-3 times over the years. We know that the ownership group is the same that owns Eastbound in Lakeside and The Hills in La Mesa. Their concept of good food, drink, and service brings people back. Place has a charm to it and the wait staff, beers, and food are all pretty much on point. Cannot recall exactly what I got, but I recall it was good. We'll be back!

Conveniently located near Naval Base Point Loma, Harbor Town Pub offers reasonably priced beer and food with a comfortable outdoor, west coast vibe.
Having gone a couple time after work, I can say that their food and service are both good and consistent. Proudly serving Ballast Point Brewery Beers, I always grab some aloha sculpin off draft.
I ordered the fish and chips this past go around and man, did I forget how big the portion of fries was. The fish was crispy and delicious. Only real complaint would be the amount of tartar sauce they give you isn't enough for ALL the fish (a problem easily resolved with the awesome service we received). Previously, I ordered the pho-king amazing sandwich. The sandwich was good but as someone who really enjoys traditional Vietnamese pho and banh mi sandwiches; the sandwich was lacking those familiar flavors I loved (expected since this is an American pub doing their own twist).
Overall, harbor town is a solid choice for a quick work lunch, after work drinks, or game day hangout spot. Think about carpooling though because parking is LIMITED. -

When I was a small boy my brother and mom drove past this area to fish at Shelter Island. I remember the sea and sun while we waited for a nibble on the line. On lucky days we would catch enough smelt to fill a small bucket. Fresh smelt marinated in ginger and soy sauce pan fried till the skin was crispy made for a delicious dinner.
Bummer Harbor Town Pub wasn't around for those days we were unlucky.
Fish and chips feature cod in a very crunchy beer batter. Flavor is most of beer as the cod is very mild flavored. Chef cooked this dish perfectly as the cod was tender and moist while batter was crunchy and golden brown.
Soy ginger wings have a nice char from the grill and a delicious soy ginger flavor with a hint of parsley. Very tender and juicy chicken. These wings taste just like the soy ginger wings at Werewolf. I found out they are sister pubs with Werewolf and they share an executive chef who developed the recipe.
In a corner of Harbor Town Pub there were bright flashing lights and machines with the silver ball. When I was a kid I biked to different 7-11's and arcades to play. Cathy from mmm-yoso mentioned places in town that had pinball machines and Harbor Town Pub was on the list. Bring lots of change or bills as it's $1.00 per game.
I tried 3 different machines and they were in excellent condition with very responsive flippers.
Guardians of the Galaxy was a bit too fast for me but Deadpool was just my speed.
Harbor Town Pub is a great spot to get my pinball fix till the next time I visit the Pacific Pinball Museum.
The staff are very friendly and provided really good service. They addressed me by name and made me feel at home.
